Our story
Walking alongside since 2009
Background
Rehoboth Counseling Services PLLC began as a private mental health practice with a single provider in 2009. In 2016, Trillium accepted Rehoboth as a group practice in their network.
Rehoboth initially served primarily children and sought to offer modalities that would directly meet their needs. To that end, extensive training was implemented in Play Therapy and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Over the years, as a result of serving families and parents, Rehoboth began providing outpatient therapy to adults as well.
Today Rehoboth links children and adults living with mental illness, substance abuse, or behavioral problems to an array of community-based treatment alternatives — individual therapy, group therapy, outpatient treatment, supportive counseling, parenting classes and therapeutic mentoring.

Seventeen years, one direction
2009
A single provider
Rehoboth Counseling Services PLLC begins as a private mental health practice with one provider.
2016
Into the Trillium network
Trillium accepts Rehoboth as a group practice. The work is primarily with children, and training follows that focus into Play Therapy and Trauma-Focused CBT.
2021
First enhanced services contract
Rehoboth obtains its first contract with Trillium for enhanced services.
2022
PSR begins in Gates County
Psychosocial Rehabilitation Services begin in Gates County, North Carolina, and continue for adults living with mental illness.
2024
Hertford County, and a Bertie license
PSR services begin in Hertford County. Rehoboth is licensed for Pre-Hospitalization in Bertie County.
2026
Residential care for children
A plan to develop residential care for children in Bertie County.

The competitive environment
While we held our Day Treatment license for seven years, we were — and remain — unable to offer the service due to the LME's closed network. We do hope to contract with Trillium on additional enhanced services.
